Review on Neoteck Digital Multimeter Backlit Integrated by Kurt Manning

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I wasn't expecting much for $40

I have to admit I wasn't expecting much from a $40 DMM. My triplet recently died after using it since 1984. I needed a temporary DMM until I could use Fluke or another triplet. I had the new one for a full 3 hours and I already love it! Solid touch device, nice easy-to-read display that doesn't need a backlight that typically turns off after 10 seconds. The built-in flashlight is cool, the probes are good quality too. This is a very sensitive meter: I just touched the positive tip of the probe when the DMM was set to AC voltage. I seem to have at least 0.5 volts AC at home (the display also shows AC at 60Hz). All in all, this is a great digital multimeter. If it stands the test of time it will become my instrument of choice and I don't have to sell my soul for a fluke. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • I don't really like anything, everything is fine
