So the headphones in the kit suck. I would recommend using your own. I use headphones and the sound quality from this little player is pretty good. I used this CD player for 2 days right after receiving it and on the 3rd day it stopped working. This wasn't the third day in a row, let me get that straight. It was probably a week late which is why I almost sent it back for a refund. My mistake was that I left the batteries in the CD player for 4-5 days when I wasn't using it. The instructions are clear not to do this and I knew this information BEFORE I left the batteries, but I still didn't heed the instructions. So I sorted myself out, put in new batteries and the player works fine. Lesson learned. You have instructions for a reason. ;) Let's see how the battery life lasts if I take out the batteries when not in use. At this point the battery life seems like 2 days and that's not good. I will revise my rating when it gets better.
