The Perfect Almond Milk Strainer

I really wanted to use a cotton strainer but I just couldn't figure out which one would properly squeeze the pulp out of the liquid. so i decided to give it a try. This inexpensive bag turns out to be the best way to make nut milk! I have a high powered blender that really grinds almonds, so I wanted something that can strain out very fine flour-like particles. You know, but not so much that the milky liquid can't fall through. You don't want all of your almond (or coconut or other nuts or seeds, whatever) bits to remain. As you can see, this leaves a fairly dry almond flour, resulting in a delicious 100% almond milk. Just turn it over, rinse it out a bit, add some soap and rub it between your fingers. The fabric is thick and easy to hand wash. Rinse again and you're done. Just open it up to dry on the stovetop (where water can collect without damaging anything), in the tumble dryer, or in an open dishwasher. In fact, a little water can fall anywhere. Just peasy.NOTE: DO NOT push too fast or you will likely tear the seam. That is the nature of seams. Move slowly and confidently, gradually increasing the pressure. So make this bag very long.
