This lock really took a few minutes to install with my limited locksmith skills. For example I replaced my first 2 locks before installing this one. The instructions from their app are clear and very easy to follow. Then the locking process after installation was also very intuitive and easy. The best part? It doesn't require a WiFi connection if you have a hub, and it even works with iWatch! So you don't have to take out your phone! --REDACTED to include more details -- I installed this lock in my new house and we don't have WiFi yet, but this lock also works over bluetooth so even better! With WiFi you can control the lock with Alexa or Google Assistant. Personally, I think the best thing about this lock is that you can lock/unlock it manually and with the existing bolt key. So if the batteries are empty, there is no Bluetooth or WLAN, you can still get in. Also, it is less obvious when comparing with other smart locks as they are installed on top of an existing deadbolt. It's a bit bulky, but that's not a big deal. Bluetooth works very well, especially the auto unlock feature. It will automatically open the door for you when you are close to the Connect hub. This kit comes with sensors that can tell you if your door hasn't been fully locked or left open for a set period of time. My door doesn't close very well so the sensor is perfect for that. The sensor is also very easy to install and calibrate. So far I haven't had any problems and the signal is really good. You can invite other owners to a specific August castle, set the duration of the invited guest for the castle (ideal for AirBnB or babysitting, for example).
