This fan has more disadvantages than advantages. First of all, the manufacturer indicates the presence of 3 fan speeds. I get 2 and a 3rd press, both on the remote and the fan, turns the unit off. In addition, the blinds cannot be tilted down. They can be positioned so that the air is blown out straight, in any position from above, but not downwards. You must then wait at least 15 minutes before starting the device after adding water to "ensure proper recording". I'm not sure what that actually means, but I've never had to plan ahead to use a fan. I find the wait brings some cooler air but nothing makes me upgrade my rating to more than 2 stars. I tried this fan by the bed and it's useless. I didn't feel anything even when I was lying right next to him. My granddaughter has built a fort in my tiny dressing room and is able to put it on a shelf next to her and she says it makes her feel cooler. I insist she also uses a traditional fan when she's there (an old house with no closet ventilation).
