I bought a couple of these bottles from this seller in April and recently bought another set (in store) because I lost one. I use it as my daily water bottle. I carry them everywhere - in my bag, in the car, at work, at home - and rely on them to be airtight and fit perfectly. They're big, but over time the caps don't snap as tightly when closed. So far this hasn't changed the tightness of the bottle as a whole, except when the cap was hit (quite hard) or dropped at the right angle and opened. Of course, my little one also likes to steal them from me and pop the lid open with his teeth, likely resulting in noticeable wear and tear that is more than normal daily adult use. He can drink from this bottle with no problem though, so it's a good, fairly durable bottle for kids too. I've recently started mixing powdered electrolytes into my water and the plastic has definitely picked up the soda smell a bit (although this drink is kept in a bottle for maybe 3 hours a day and rinsed with hot water immediately afterwards and then washed in the dishwasher ). same day). I don't mind that, but I also don't recommend using this bottle for different drinks if you value it picking up flavors/smells - just stick with water or a uniform drink (e.g. if you always drink the same). smoothies or protein drinks).
