I live in a fairly safe area but who knows this system seemed to do a good job of deterring potential intruders. Or at least it will wake me up enough to permanently scare away the intruder. Installation was easy, but I would suggest something more durable than the 3M strips provided as they may not adhere perfectly depending on the surface and could scare you to death if they fall and come off. My system was already paired, so all I had to do was add 3 AAs to the alarm part and that was it. It's quite noisy and will surely put someone off. The remote has a decent distance to operate it from. Overall I'm very happy with it. Definitely a great budget system.
