Review on πŸ“‘ EMF Meter: Digital Electromagnetic Field Radiation Detector 3 in 1 with LCD Display - Ideal for Home, Office, Outdoor, and Ghost Hunting by Mike Gruwell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It really lacks sensitivity and range

I was unable to receive signals from some electronic devices, while others with significantly larger cable loops (such as microwaves, TVs and chargers) were detected normally. I've attached some photos of what I got in each of the three modes. The temperature sensor is a nice touch. I didn't take anything off my cell phone. I just don't see what this thing is supposed to be useful for. Maybe that would be good for people who are particularly vulnerable to EM flux, like people with really crappy pacemakers? But this thing doesn't have the range on the high end to really help with that; it saturates/overloads too easily. Pseudoscientific claims in product descriptions are just that. Take them for what they are I guess. After all, the thing isn't good for finding living electronic devices, which I was interested in. It won't catch babycams, pinhole cameras, or any surveillance bugs for that matter. It doesn't seem to pick up anything from AC lamps, which surprises me. Even at $26, I consider it an electronic device with a dubious purpose. It's just taking up space on my shelf. It comes with a 9V battery and measures 7.6 x 2.1 x 1.5 inches.
