I am very happy about it! Used it for two blocks of tofu for the first time last night. I did this in the fridge overnight and this morning the blocks were well compressed and lots of water came out. I was able to take out the pressed tofu without any damage or cracks. Thanks to the clever placement of the four springs at the corners and the centered spiral compression, the pressure was applied very evenly. Two slices of tofu (from Costco, so maybe more than normal) barely fit in, but still worked great. There are two small recesses on the press plate for better gripping, but these are not very useful with two pieces of tofu in the press. However, I was still able to get the tofu just fine, and I'm sure making it one piece at a time helps. Assuming it lasts, I'm very happy with this belly! We use two blocks of tofu at a time, so doing both at the same time for our dishes is very useful. The press is barely big enough for two Costco-sized blocks of tofu, so there are tiny areas on either side of the press platen that aren't covered, but that's not a problem.
