I was skeptical but I dared and it helped me. My PS4 Pro has stopped randomly recognizing discs since launch without warning. I've seen some people try a few things including re-running the update, repairing the database and wiping the PS4, but none of that worked. It was certain that I had a hardware problem. First of all, if disassembling laptops makes you uncomfortable, this is not the best option: consult a professional. The iFixIt guide didn't include all the necessary steps and it took a long time to fix. You'll also be removing the PS4 motherboard in the process, so you'll also need thermal paste and a thermal paste remover. Add $20 for those parts and then ask yourself if you want to fix it yourself or let a professional do it. Personally I'm very glad I went this route as it saved me money and time and the end result was great. Thanks to this company for a great product. Looked almost exactly like an OEM part.
