Ken's bow sharpener is a great knife sharpener, but the blade sharpening attachment makes it so much better. Long and short blades are no problem with a knife sharpener. I would describe the Blade Grinder as "professional”. With Care, I don't have to worry about scratching the side of the blade or putting tape on the blade to prevent scratches. For me, this attachment is easier and faster to use when sharpening my knife, plus I can see the burr rising and which part of the blade needs more work. The belt tracking adjustment is way better, IMO. The regular Ken Onion will get the job done, but I recommend buying one if you want a more professional one.
