Much better than the default configuration and frankly easier.

When I first bought my working Ken Sharpbow I was amazed at the quality of the machine and the ease, but I had a few issues. I wrestled with glasses, I wrestled with knives. I've even struggled with jagged bevels, although I know I used it correctly. I thought it would look really hard but decided to give it a try after watching some videos and wanting to improve my sharpening skills. Right out of the box I was able to sharpen my knives with relative ease. I even corrected some of the knives I…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Not sure

Ken's bow sharpener is a great knife sharpener, but the blade sharpening attachment makes it so much better. Long and short blades are no problem with a knife sharpener. I would describe the Blade Grinder as "professional”. With Care, I don't have to worry about scratching the side of the blade or putting tape on the blade to prevent scratches. For me, this attachment is easier and faster to use when sharpening my knife, plus I can see the burr rising and which part of the blade needs more…

Regarding Revain packages that include replacement straps.

This review isn't about the Work Sharp sander attachment itself, but rather the Revain trim strips they sell with their 'Assorted Belt Kits'. You can buy two packs that contain different belts, one with just the blade sharpening attachment and the other with the sharpening attachment and the Work Sharp KO tool (it's a complete bundle that costs over $200). Keep in mind that with these two kits you get 3/4" x 12" straps that fit a regular Work Sharp tool. The blade sharpener attachment accepts 1

Pros
  • Durable finish

  • Transparency

You have to have an app!

I had a basic WS sharpener that worked fine for a while but wasn't exactly what I wanted. The Ken Onion WS sharpener is an update of the base model, but still doesn't like to stop at the right moment, pull out the blade etc. The blade sharpening attachment is perfect, allows full pressure control and works quickly with a large blade. . Do a little research on how to properly sharpen a knife and this tool won't disappoint. Lots of videos on YouTube. I have used this for kitchen knives and pocket

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • No

It could have been better and I would have paid more for it.

In general a good product, it has many functions, it meets my expectations. Here's what you don't like about it. However, I only used it for one day. but these things immediately repelled me. The top wheel is a bit large so the belt is offset about 1/8 inch from the vertical support. This may not be a problem for a larger grinder, however, this spacing grinds the edges harder (maybe I'll build it in to fix it.) None of the control plates (front or rear) are adjustable So if you're where…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some problems
