We used this lego train set from a minimum age of 18 months Our 26 month old still loves it and returns to the toy. What frustrated him (but also fascinated him!) when he was young - the task of using fine motor skills to hook and pull different cars together without damaging them - is now his FAVORITE feature and he will be pulling choo-choo throughout our games. Dwelling and remodeling with the larger structure and tow trucks we have. We build lego bridges so the train can go under water. Fantastic Lego set! Since our son loves it so much, I also gave this toy to two of his friends for their birthdays who, along with their little ones, also appreciated this toy!
