The only reason I give this 4 stars is that it's a little tricky to install properly with some hard to find drivers. It's very picky, but if you install it properly, it will work and work fine. I think the reviewers aren't installing it correctly, there is a very specific installation process. It also depends on your operating system and the devices at the other end of the 10G line, not to mention the type of cable used. I used this on my PC to connect to a Mac Pro and another PC and it ran fine at 800MB/s over CAT7, accessing a 64TB 8 drive RAID 5 array. There are many variables involved in launching any type of 10G connection and making it fast.
