tldr; The product performs decently considering the cost. You don't look at this bike lock if you are looking for the absolute best product that will work best for a specific application. However, you are most likely looking for a U-lock and will be attracted by the price of this product. So I'll skip the pros as it provides basic functionality, and if you can live with the cons then it's a potential purchase. The U-lock's padding is rubber, so you could potentially end up catching your skin on the lock if you're taller or not riding in the pristine condition (or just position the lock the wrong way round). The bar itself is obviously sturdier than a chain lock, but if someone is determined to take your bike (since the leverage is great enough and not that great), it's still very easy to do it through the lock. The bike lock mount is made of plastic and has a small range of diameters that it can actually work with. So check your bike for the right spots before you buy it. Additionally, the latch is held in place by nuts and bolts, which tighten the plastic by (ironically, and hopefully) elastically deforming around the shaft and rubber element for extra grip as it deforms slightly to provide a tighter connection. However, the whole thing is held together by two nuts and bolts (as mentioned) and I see that as the critical point of failure given enough shock or wear and tear to break. Finally, the actual U-piece of the lock doesn't fit many rods due to the small inner diameter (trust me it's mentioned in the product description, be careful when buying as it might not fit your application). Overall I would say at this point that the product is satisfactory and meets the basic requirements of U-Lock.
