Just bought one and put a small 3D head that belonged to my late father in an old Bianchi B-Lite (a contemporary of the Kel-Lite before Mag-Lite took over the market). I chose it because the base looked the same as the PR3 and fit where larger diameter bulbs wouldn't. The good news: It fits and lights up. The bad: It has a very low light output, making it more of a work light than something to illuminate the other side of the yard. Strange: I see a relatively faint greenish-yellow center (not really a blur), but all of the ambient light is blue-white. Well it lights up and fits in the old style PR lamp socket. But I won't buy anything else. Edit: I may have found the cause of the weird greenish-yellow zone. I see yellowing around the perimeter of the aging plastic of the lens. However, light output and distribution are not up to standard; I get the best performance from a 2-C Maglite with a TerraLUX LED bulb.
