I bought this because my center speaker is right in front of the TV's IR receiver. It works maybe ten percent of the time. Whatever I did, holding the IR emitter directly in front of the TV receiver, holding the remote a few inches away from BlastIR's IR receiver, or whatever else I tried didn't work. I plugged it into the USB port on the TV (Sony X900E), plugged it into a powered USB hub and plugged it into the wall. It did not work. I pushed the button twenty or more times, and once it might have worked. I plugged it directly into the TV's IR receiver and pressed it against the back of the speaker three inches from the TV's IR receiver. I literally sat and held it in different places for about five minutes and it might work once or twice in one place but then just as suddenly it stopped working. I was just as lucky sitting on the couch and holding the remote up in the air to try to direct the IR signal to the center speaker. This thing is useless.
