I need some bins to keep in my car so I can go for a walk or take a camera with a large lens (500-600mm) for spotting. These tiny 8x20's are perfect. The picture quality is excellent. I had a Nikon 10x25 but it was very difficult to adjust my eyes and I often got double vision. These Leicas are very easy to set up and very easy to focus. The push button diopter adjustment is great! No random changes. I chose them over 10x25 because my main pair is 10x and these 8x focus better at close range. You see about 8.5 inches at the minimum distance. Their visual center is around 4 inches, so a flower looks good. 10x see about 11.5 inches at minimum distance. It's not as good as the Trinovid HD (at a minimum field of view of 4.6 inches), but they're behemoths compared to those guys. use them anyway. But I won't walk on windswept sand or heavy dust. The case is easy to use and allows for the insertion and extraction of containers. It's a little bigger than some cases, but still small. I appreciate that there is no velcro.
