I put the curling iron in my bag to cool and the rim melted. Luckily it didn't stick to my curling iron, but now I know I can't put hot curling irons in a container. The cable holder is - for me - impractical. I wanted to store this by tucking the curved lip into the top of the drawer. Storing the cord makes it difficult to fully close the drawer. I would not recommend this item if you plan to place hot curling irons in it.
