Take the shrink wrap and repaint the wires
Wires will get mixed up in the connection if you don't use a small adapter. But I just have to deal with it because I don't want to use an extra chunk if I don't need it. Also, these are good quality, thick wires, the MC4 connectors seem solid. The flange is pretty rubbery for a flange, but this can help it seal better.
