
Bought for an old Lacie backup drive that only has a FireWire port to connect to a new Mac Mini that doesn't have a FireWire port, only USB. Mac says "Turn off device that is using too much power". The backup hard drive was not recognized. Connected to an older MacBook Pro and it's not recognized either. This article is not a converter at all.
