I'm old fashioned about these things. I grew up in the 70's when black light fluorescent lights put out tons of ultraviolet light. A 24 inch tube can light up an entire house. This is not the case now and I didn't think LEDs would produce much high quality UV but damn I was wrong! These small flashlights flood a small area with UV light, making things visible that were previously invisible. Use one of these to look around your bathroom or kitchen and I can almost guarantee you'll be cleaning soon. Anti-counterfeiting measures are prominently displayed on government-issued ID cards and licenses, postmarks, paper money, and more. The LEDs do get a bit warm with prolonged use, but as this flashlight should be used for checking, not lighting I don't see that as a problem by the way. I liked them so much I ordered 4 more to give to friends and have a spare for myself. For the price you just can't go wrong.
