Wow, talk about a double-take in terms of utility! After applying the native thermal paste to the dropsy GamerStorm Captain 240X White, I can confirm that there is nothing discernible difference between the two. In my setup, the coolers are all set to run at extremely quiet speeds. The i7-7700k processor was stolen. The old thermal paste, which has been in use for 4 years (!) at idle, reaches a temperature of 39 degrees. Temperatures reach 83 degrees while under load in Prime95. We used the widely acclaimed MX-5. Easy 37–38, difficult 83–84. In reality, my final verdict is that nothing has changed, which is something you may not anticipate from a tube that is almost a millennium old. Since they already have an excellent alternative, I can't offer it to them, but I do think it will be a fantastic option for individuals who have had a computer for at least ten years or who use KPT-8.
