To be honest I didn't even know such a product existed. I thought that I would have to endlessly clean the windshield from the weather every season, but unfortunately I was wrong, and how glad I was that I did. I typically left this in my car and ran out of my office/home to drop it on my windshield before or during the first rainy spells. But once I do that, the rest will take care of itself. When I get back to my car, I just peel off the protective film from the windshield and voila! We are ready without wasting a minute.
