As several reviewers have said, this item is easy to install, but not that easy. There are two of these bar clamps, which are made of soft plastic. I can't stress enough how easy it is to break them. Push the tab inward and move the tab closer to you to release. Then you need to change the shape of the rear door panel, if the parts of the protrusion were bent. I have a rubber bed mat so this was easy for me. I placed the lock cover on top of the rubber, hit it with a rubber mallet and changed the shape. When you slide the knots together and reattach them, make sure the knot slides on the metal sheet or the locking knot is in the wrong place. Once this is all done, everything should work fine. As one customer said, I'm sure the right scammer with the right pry bar can still do some damage, but we're just trying to make it harder, not impossible. By the way, if you open this item and there is no lever on the lock assembly, don't go any further. It will never work. (I bought one off eBay and there was no leverage and they wanted me to contact the manufacturer to fix it. Also note that this item requires $50.)
