I bought this with my SCOBY but unfortunately it arrived after 5 days. It was easy to use and showed me my temperature was definitely too low and I used an electric blanket to make sure it was the right temperature which made an instant difference, I could almost see SCOBY at the right temperature for life woke up. I highly recommend using this kombucha glass thermometer strip, it will definitely save you from guessing or constantly checking the temperature during the colder months.
