They were a bit difficult to assemble. Basically, they're a bit long, so I had to push the pole in a little bit (about half an inch) before I could put it on the "ball joint" on the trunk. Squeezing the bar with your hand and trying to direct it onto the "ball" wasn't the easiest thing, but it "snapped" in the end. Another problem is that they are too strong. This means as soon as you unlock the trunk and start opening it, it will LIFT! When I opened the trunk for the first time, he almost hit me in the face. Now I know that I have to hold the trunk lid when I open it. As a rule, however, they work and are a lot cheaper than at the dealer.
