Easy to install/deploy product - comes with everything you need - the only caveat I have is to pay attention to whether you need singlemode or multimode fiber as both can have the same form factor. But if you're not wrong, this product is actually discontinued and forgotten. Most applications extend the Ethernet network beyond copper where fiber is more appropriate (e.g. up a riser, through a warehouse, etc.). .) -- where I expect you to order two matching fiber optic media converters. However, if you use a media converter because your ISP carries fiber and you need copper - and your ISP is an idiot and either doesn't tell you or tells you wrong. you can hardly go wrong. Order either this "singlemode" converter or a multimode converter (or just take the other GBIC with you). As far as I could tell the converters had exactly the same part number and I bought one of each without knowing where I was going with my application.
