I tried to ask the manufacturer this question but couldn't find a link to it. I have a subwoofer with an amplifier without a volume control. The AVR it's connected to couldn't reduce the power output enough for my liking. I hooked this unit up to a subwoofer and it works, but the control knob goes from zero to 100% in about 1/10th of a turn of the knob. In other words, there doesn't seem to be a linear adjustment with the same gradation between the two extreme positions of the knob. This makes correct adjustment somewhat more difficult. Not sure if that's how it works or if there's something wrong with it, but I couldn't find a link to the manufacturer to check.
