Review on πŸͺœ ACSTEP Step Ladder Folding Step Stool Ladder - Anti-Slip, Sturdy, Wide Pedal, 330lbs Capacity - Household and Office Portable Step Stool - 2 Step by Brian Rivenbark

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Due to the design of the front legs, it is deceptively dangerous and prone to twisting.

Stairs only used a few times. Apparently I put too much weight on the left side of the top step and the ladder toppled over, tipped sideways and I fell to the ground. I was lucky enough to only have a few bad bruises on my arms and scratches on my face. It sat on a flat concrete floor in the basement. The ladder says it's rated for 300 pounds. I weigh 162 pounds. I didn't do anything that couldn't be done with a ladder. The problem is how the stairs are arranged. The front feet are small rectangular U-shaped steel tubes with plastic feet where they touch the ground. Most good step stools have separate feet for ground contact. U-shaped front legs and plastic legs can not withstand moderate side loads. That's why this ladder failed. I will never trust this leader again. I have now got myself a 4 step Gorilla HD ladder for use in the basement. It has the same 300# capacity, has a wider stance, is taller, and both weigh 17.6 pounds. We also have a 4 speed 225# capacity Gorilla that weighs 11 pounds. And it's much sturdier than the ladder in question. We also received the DELXO ladder. It looks just like what we bought. Has very good and complete instructions on 2 pages. Too bad the ladder is not as good as in the instructions. I didn't like the look of this ladder, it was very heavy (17.6#). My wife bought the ladder prior to the comparison purchase and we didn't want to return it. Too bad we didn't return it.
