Very, very nice. I've tried other brands and haven't found anything that compares. Basically, no other brand I've used has a serving rim that extends to very thin rims (think the rim of a plate, for example). So if you want to file small areas under or along the edge of the nail, you cannot use the thinnest side edges with other files. It's a really nice feature and they don't advertise it. Maybe the owners don't even know they made it that way! Another outstanding feature is the "grain plane”. Other brands are usually too safe, some are too stingy with "grit”. This file is perfection. When you use it, the feeling of filing the edge of your nail is almost unearthly. it's just wonderful. It's not meant to take an inch off your nail, rather it's meant to peel off a small amount to shape and then finish. The case is a bit sticky. enough said.
