I bought a small for my 5-6 lb Chihuahua with a 13 inch chest. to make it too tight if she pulls but I think it might be too big for dogs with chest sizes under 13 inches. As soon as she started walking, her chest piece slid sideways, causing her front paw to slip through the opposite side of the harness. The strap could have worked better with a snug fit, but even then I don't see how that would keep the strap from slipping to one side. Otherwise, the suspension is well made and feels very firm, plush and well-damped.
