Inexpensive Mylar Sheets

I keep a couple of these sheets in each of our cars in case we ever get stuck in bad weather. Can't tell if they keep you warm as we don't get stuck but they take up almost no space and it's nice to know we have something different than our regular coats. I used them in my hallway in a mini greenhouse-like space to grow tomatoes in the off-season. The frame measures 2 x 4 feet, floor to ceiling, with grow lights at the top and mylar sheets used as liners for the surrounding canvas. Mylar retains heat and light reflecting to the plants from all directions and the tomatoes thrive very well. They are quite thin and tear easily. Canvas artist rags protect them in the hallway, but I imagine they'll be mostly disposable as rescue blankets.

Pros
  • Durable Mylar Insulation
