BEST Valve Spring Compressor (Repair First Only)

I had to use the lighter springs on the SBC to break in the cams, then remove them and attach the twin springs. This compressor is ideal for this in the car. The shock absorber can be adjusted in depth and rotated sideways to make room for a grip in either direction. Well designed and built BUT see how it's put together. The two bolts holding the twist handle were installed backwards to prevent the handle from reaching all the way to latch it, so I couldn't remove or install the latches myself. It's an easy fix and I don't even think I can deduct a star for it. If you are mechanically inclined and know how to work with valve springs you should be able to fix this. Simply remove the bolts and turn them over so the nuts are on the outside, then the handle will go all the way to lock the spring. Check out their pictures and you will see them both ways.

Pros
  • MATERIAL: Made of heavy duty steel, treated with rust and anti-corrosion coating, strong and durable. Strong and durable handle withstands the most extreme loads from high-pressure valve springs.
Cons
  • Some small things
