Review on 🎥 Sony DCR-TRV460 Hi8 Camcorder with 20x Optical Zoom, 990x Digital Zoom – Discontinued Model by Jay Elmo

Have had this camcorder since July 2004. When the camera works it's a great machine. BUT, right after the expired warranty bands are not removed - $230 repair bill. Now the 1/06 format playback is horribly distorted - the head cleaning tapes don't work so the video head needs to be replaced - repair bill $211.00. I will be looking for a replacement unit (NOT SONY) within 18 months of purchase that is less prone to breakage. If you're looking to keep paying for a camera this is the device for you - otherwise scramble to find a more reliable brand/model.
