Handy lamp for low-power halogen lamps (25W)

I like the smaller size, the very strong wire wrap and the convenient timer and dimmer built into the power cord. A few things to keep in mind for best results: 1. When using halogen lights, use only 25w bulbs. No ceramic heaters! You can use low wattage UVB-CFL bulbs, but do not use dimmer settings on them. This device is not rated for more than 25W. The metal in the socket is very thin - not designed to withstand much heat or electricity. Works fantastic if you follow these rules.2. Do not attempt to unscrew the bulb while it is hot. Wait for it to cool down. It will come out easier.3. Use the cloth or the included suction cup on a stick to manipulate the lamp. Oils from your skin can cause halogen lights to fail quickly.4. With the unit turned OFF and the bulb removed, look at the tab on the bottom of the socket. If it is completely bent, the light bulb was screwed in too tightly. Carefully and gently pry the tab back a little with a screwdriver. Then don't screw the bulb in too tight. DISCONNECT at the same time please.5. Once the power source is off, the instrument will remain off until the ON button is manually pressed, even if the power source is turned back on. You can use the thermostat as a high temperature cutoff, that's fine. But you need to turn the device back on.
