Purchased for a back door access over hardwood floors. - very nice muted colors - low pile, although the binding along the edges is thicker than the pile of the rug. My door is hanging a bit on the panel which is a bummer. If it weren't for the thickness of the binding, the door would swing slightly over the pile of the carpet.- I ordered a 3x5 and was disappointed that this size didn't have fringes. ends. I was able to return it under the return policy but didn't want to bother with it. Too bad. The fringes would make it look like a rug rather than a mat. The colors are muted which is fantastic as the rug has a slight sheen that would scream "I'm acrylic" if the colors were lighter. I'm using this in our back door so I'm not too concerned about elegance, but if I'm using it in a living room, front door or anywhere with lots of natural light I'd think twice. Our back entrance is next to the garage so there isn't much natural light in this area. This situation is good lighting for this carpet. As a test I moved it to our entrance which was full of natural light and the glitter was very unattractive and "cheap". that it can have an acrylic sheen. When I use it at the garage entrance, I know that it will get dirty and its main purpose is to dry my feet and not bring dirt into the house, so in this case it is important to be able to clean it easily. First I shopped locally. before you order it online. For a synthetic rug that also had a low enough pile for a door crack, this is far, far nicer than anything I've seen anywhere. . . Target, Macy's, Bed/Bath/Beyond, Homeworld. . .Whatever it is, it is very beautiful and I am very happy with it.
