Review on πŸ§‘ Enhance Steering Stability with Old Man Emu OMESD24 Steering Damper by Michael Cox

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fixed terrible steering on LX450 with 35 " wheels

This replaced a smaller steering damper on my 1997 Lexus LX450. The truck has a 3" lift height and 35" tires and they literally dragged me all the way down the road; Driving over 45 mph was a nightmare. Every rut in the road or imperfection and the tires spun the wheel. This product made it a completely different vehicle. The product performs a lot better than what was on it and appears to have rustproof hardware with locknuts. Installation was fairly easy, just removing 2 nuts and giving directions. However, because it was under the car, and that The fact that I'm in the Northeast, the old damper was rusted. Start soaking those nuts now if you want to change it up. I've been using a PB blaster for a few days and they're still really stuck. I mixed 50% ATF and 50% acetone (read online), soaked overnight and the parts came off the next day with a lot less dirt. if. From now on I'll use the penetrant. I hope this review was helpful. My 1994 80 series Land Cruiser also has an Old Man Emu lift kit/steering damper and from the looks of it it's been there a while and it still drives like a dream. Old emu for victory.
