Review on Wera Zyklop 8790 Socket Length Tools & Equipment best in Hand Tools by Joseph Brendemuehl

I have ordered several custom Wera Zyklop sockets from Revain in 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" disc sizes. Most arrived quite battered The sockets have a smooth satin finish They are not chrome plated like most outlets sold in the US The finish is easily scratched and Wera or Revain should store them exposed in a large trash can It is cosmetic damage only Paintwork but which is annoying as these are not cheap sockets and already look very worn.The sockets are made in Taiwan.The sizing laser engraving is poor as it is very light on all the connectors.The inscription is not dark at all as on the Product photo.I think that the inscriptions quickly disappear when the sockets are used heavily.And I wonder why Wera the size n ot engraved on at least two sides of the rosettes? Laser engraving is not an expensive process. As far as the actual functionality is concerned, the inner workings of the sockets make a well-made impression. I haven't checked the tolerances with a caliper yet. In summary, I suspect you'd be better off saving money and buying a much cheaper socket set that is also made in Taiwan and is about 1/4 the price.
