This is a perfectly acceptable adult beginner's racquet. I only started training 4 months ago and everything was fine for a start. As others have pointed out, this is NOT a lightweight racket. So if beginner = kid, as is often the case, you might want to look elsewhere. That being said, the main reason I wanted to present this review is to strongly recommend that no one buying this considers this a long-term solution. That said, once you've had a few lessons and/or are comfortable landing shots off the ground, tackling gentle inclines, etc. you should switch to an intermediate level racquet. I started getting frustrated with my progress and just switched to an intermediate racquet that cost $200. At the same time, I was nervous because I didn't think I was ready for a less pleasant moment. On the contrary, I should have thrown away the beginner's racket much earlier. I didn't understand what was missing from using the Wilson starter for so long. This rookie Wilson is doing well too. Just be prepared for an upgrade if you decide to take the sport even a little bit seriously.
