Excellent product. I let other reviews convince me of the general build quality. The main purpose of this review is to provide technical technical information about the device that can be useful if you intend to use it for industrial applications. Microcircuits to get the necessary RS-232 voltages. There is an additional EEPROM FT4232H, AT93C46D (with unusual markings). All datasheets for the above are readily available online. There is software from FTDI that allows you to flash the EEPROM or use pins for GPIO instead of serial (just make sure you respect the original signal directions to avoid backwards movement of the ZT3243F). For those who need additional technical details for their application, the screws holding the device together are located on the main body under a sticker opposite the LEDs. There are no clips or glue holding it together, allowing for clean disassembly. Disclaimer: Taking it apart will void your warranty.
