Review on Topeak MTX Trunk Bag Panniers by Richard Cartner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Quick release missing

When receiving the Topeak MTX Trunkbag EXP, the plastic rail with the yellow quick release hook on the bag was missing, so the entire bag is desirable for attachment to the Topeak. Bike carrier QR BeamRack MTX (type E). It looks like it was originally on the bag but was removed prior to my purchase and receipt. I have called the seller several times and left messages but have not received a call back. This Trunkbag is currently unusable as it is. I could attach a gym bag or milk carton to my bike and get the same results as the current bag without the rail and hook to attach. My Topeak MTX TrunkBag EXP was returned to the seller for an exchange for the same bag. I hope I will change my rating to a much better one after receiving the new bag. When I originally ordered the bag, it arrived in just 10 days. Unfortunately the replacement is not due to arrive until mid-June, more than a month and a half delay in delivery since I returned and asked for a new bag. I received my exchanged Trunkbag on Monday 10th May and it is exactly what I wanted. Apparently the delay in returning was due to the seller receiving the defective replacement package. Once they received this bag, the exchange was expedited. The rail system and locking mechanism are great and can be easily removed and installed on my wife's Topeak Beamrack. No pain, no tension. I've changed my rating from 1 star to 4 stars and would happily give it 5 stars because it's a great bag if it weren't for the major inconvenience of repacking, finding and returning the former trunk bag to a UPS store and then a long one Time would be extra time waiting for a new shipment (and not even getting a "Sorry for the inconvenience" message or some sort of apology compensation).
