Review on DisplayPort IVANKY Braided Supports Compatible by James Roper

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Thick braid, spam reviews, durability cannot be confirmed.

It's been less than a month and iVanky have already contacted me twice asking for a review and I missed a star for that. If you look at my history, I usually review everything I buy, but I usually give it a few months of use before doing a real review. I went with the gray/black version because it's more neutral and fits my space better, but if I could I'd go for the red/black braid. The jacket itself is very thick which for a beginner would indicate a quality cable/copper but for that reason I am afraid it may not be the case. Usually manufacturers do this to hide something else, as in this case. possibly cheap copper or minimum AWG wire size for DP. As an aside, I've used the cable to power my Dell 24" monitor, QHD (2k), 165Hz/1ms, G-Sync and so far I haven't had any issues, at least none that would indicate so cable itself. . There were issues with blurring, but I believe it's a scaling issue between Windows 10, QHD and 24" panel size, not the display port cable. All in all, for $10 I would probably buy again if this cable holds up, but I can't stand the spam reviews. Let them know that when you shop at iVanky, iVanky spams you with reviews about your purchase. At least none of them point to the cable itself.
