I have a 2018 E63 with standard extra wide wheels. I can't get my hand in there to thoroughly clean the inside of the rim, but it's not hard at all with this thing. It appears to be of near perfect hardness - hard enough to be cleaned but soft enough never to be scratched. This is exactly what I was looking for. I have no idea how long this will take. In the area of the calipers it is often cleaned, but after three washes no wear is observed. If it lasts until next spring as expected, I'll call it a win.
