I've been very happy with my WD Red drives, but WD started sneaking up on the SMR Red drives, not on the CMR. The ONLY reason I bought them was because of the WD drives. Decision to use SMR, forcing you to buy "WD Red Plus" to get CMR. These Seagate IronWolf 10TB NAS drives are CMR. The complaint is that they're noticeably louder than the WD Red they replaced. I was about to give up and get WD Red Plus with CMR. But for me it's too late. I'll take care of that, just be aware that they're louder than WD Red, but hey, at least those are the CMRs, which your WD Red might not have. (PS. My Synology NAS is a full 10 feet away, I would hate them if they were on or under my desk on the desk next to me)
