Review on 🚗 ATP B-174 Auto Trans Filter Kit by Adam Browning

I bought this for my 2001 Isuzu NPR-HD which comes with a 4L80E gearbox. The filter came up, the kit included a rubberized insert which is nice. However, the padding was very thin and heavily folded. I had to level it on the floor with plywood and weights for several days to get a usable piece. The bolt tabs were not sufficient to properly attach the seal to the pallet. Those "third hands" holding the bolt should have been every other bolt, not just four. Aligning the gasket and pan at the ends was tricky but possible. I'm giving it two stars because of the thin padding. I would not recommend this part nor would I buy it again for a 4L80E gearbox. Go to the dealer and buy a suitable gasket. The dealer seal is almost twice as thick, has a neoprene bead in the seal, and metal-reinforced screw holes. I will be replacing this gasket with an older, better designed gasket as soon as it starts to leak or after a year, whichever comes first.
