Review on 46-Inch Maple Dancing Longboard By Volador by Tim Pulse

Revainrating 4 out of 5

For the price, this board is definitely worth it!

Before i bought this board, i was previously riding a Landyacht drop-through board. I bought this board looking for a cheap board to help with longboard dancing, and man was i surprised. At first glance, i thought that i would have to replace the trucks and the wheels because i thought they would be of poor quality. That was not the case. The wheels feel pretty good and the trucks are of a better quality than i expected. However, I found the bearings to be a little slow so did have to replace them with some Bones. The board looks amazing and it rides super well. The one main problem i had with the board were the wheel cutouts. Coming from a drop-through deck, i like to carve hard. When i first rode my Volador, i nearly fell over because of the wheel bite. Upon closer inspection, it turns out my wheels had clipped the corners of the cutouts instead of falling into the cutouts themselves. I fixed the problem by buying some riser pads but it still sucked having to figure it out after falling so hard. Overall, I believe this board has the best combination of quality and price. If you're looking for a dancer and you don't won't to spend up to $300, this board is the perfect option.

Cons
  • The board may not be easy to maintain
