This item "works" because it charges and provides Internet access via Ethernet. Right, at much lower speeds. The charging connector doesn't even go all the way through, it barely snaps into place. With an app to check speed and disable wifi and cellular signal. I checked the difference between USB-C to Ethernet Adapter (No Charging) and this product. The without charging worked as it should and delivered speeds that matched that of a hard computer. If speed is important to you, do not buy this product.
