Disappointing - Total lack of application knowledge

What a disappointment. This photometer sounded really great. Does a lot of tests (you have to buy not only the strips from them, but also the "test" for the application for another $5 each), but the strips have to be bought separately. The application shows the complete absence of an iPhone or smartphone. understanding of the manufacturer. Terrible UI, terrible design and barely usable. His posts are random and written by a programmer with no UI experience. Even if you buy an additional "trial" for the included strips, the in-app purchase causes a strange "purchase algorithm" message when you spin the ball. But really, it's just annoying. Bad design is the whole Bluetooth experience. They follow absolutely no standards and had to prepare their own very bad solution. Instead of pairing a device once and being done with it, you have to half-pair it from a list of cryptic numbers every time you use it. Nobody does it as badly as this app and device combo. To make matters worse, if you put your iPhone on the table after pairing it and take your glucometer to a pool just 20 feet away to dip it in the water, when you come back the device will have silently lost its Bluetooth connection. I will not tell you. As he goes through the testing procedure, he will do everything to the end. Instead of showing you the result, you get a cryptic ER1 or ER2 message saying the connection to BT was lost. You will need to pair the test again and start from scratch. What a disastrous implementation. Test result storage isn't getting any better. No concept of iCloud integration, nothing but the ability to email yourself the results in an ugly text email. If you're hoping to have a data collection API other than parsing those ugly emails, you're missing out. This app needs to be trashed and rewritten from scratch. It's not worth it. The device itself feels solid and has a decent design, but the app goes beyond what is unacceptable by today's standards.
