Review on Continental ContiSportContact 5 215/50 R17 95W summer by Agata Koacz ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good one.

Size 235/45/17. The car has surpassed 70t, and because I put in more miles in the summer, this rubber must be around 45t. I spent 1700 USD round trip, traveling between 130 and 150 mph in the heat (M4 Don) every season for four years. I switched out my winter footwear by switching the tires around on a diagonal, giving me four wheels total—two for the new season and two for the old. The main benefit is the ContiSeal anti-puncture coating (a dense, sticky, black sealant on the inside of the tire), I only take out the screws when changing shoes for winter or if I accidentally notice, and I pull out and not only do not repair the wheel, and I don't even pump up, there are pressure sensors, it doesn't let down with a self-tapping screw and after removing it in general, it helps a lot on long trips, you do get used According to the maker, holes as large as 5 mm can be patched. The anti-puncture layer adds bulk and weight to the tire, and when traveling at high speeds, the centrifugal force squeezes the middle of the tread, causing it to wear out a little more quickly than the edges, much like an overinflated wheel. Faster wear appears possible from here. Keep it in bags over the winter to prevent dust and dirt from sticking to it. Excellent resilience to stress; caught a respectable hole; disc bent little; rubber unharmed. Excellent traction in wet conditions and at high speeds. Everything is perfect except for the fact that you have to decide between being puncture resistant and being wear resistant. The next one is probably what I'll take. All the best!

Pros
  • Protection from punctures Any road handling, ContiSeal, and bulletproof construction.
Cons
  • Rumbling, lopsided wear.
